Growing apart is hard to do
I’m afraid that when we see each other again, we’ll run out of things to talk about.

Libretto: In defense of Rhian Ramos →
wideeyedskies:
Before I start, let me make this clear: In no way am I criticizing a specific person. I am criticizing a group of people who came to a unified stand that I believe is sexist and worthy of analysis. This is not about you or your friend. This is not about me. This isn’t even about Rhian Ramos. This is about something that has been around long before she was born and judging by the...

Things that are happening
Pope is unreadable at the moment, and my parents are having a very loud fight in our tiny apartment, my father is still a misogynist (that makes him a bad Marxist, right?), and I kind of feel like inhaling all the the contents of our gas kalan like a low-rent, third world Sylvia Plath.

My brain cells are also on vacation or whatever
I kidnapped my father’s very cute laptop into my bedroom with the premise that I’ll use it to read Murakami’s 1Q84 (What’s that? I have a copy before it comes out in bookstores? I don’t know what you’re talking about). But what I’m really burning through is Georgette Heyer’s The Spanish Bride. Because, like, they’re practically the same thing....

Thirteen Observations made by Lemony Snicket while...
1. If you work hard, and become successful, it does not necessarily mean you are successful because you worked hard, just as if you are tall with long hair it doesn’t mean you would be a midget if you were bald.
2. “Fortune” is a word for having a lot of money and for having a lot of luck, but that does not mean the word has two definitions.
3. Money is like a child—rarely unaccompanied. When it...

The crazy eyepath lady is probably an older River Song.
That seems like something Moffat would pull.
I mean, fuck, River’s timeline is all over the place already, anyway.

I am trying to diagnose Doctor Who
I think the problem is Steven Moffat aims his story arcs high, but so high that by the time he gets to a plot twist after 6 episodes hinting to it, he’s left with so many holes he has to come up with ridiculous, quick, plug-bubblegum-on-it solutions.
Okay, that was a convoluted sentence.
Case in point, Let’s Kill Hitler, where we’re suddenly introduced to Melody (apparently Amy...

Catching up on Doctor who
Steven Moffat is entangling himself in his own plot twists. Some of this shit doesn’t make sense anymore.

Can I just say
that I have been dying to read Son of Neptune for the longest time but I’ve been a good girl and I’ve let it sit in my computer utterly ignored until I’ve submitted all my requirements. And now that I have done all that responsible stuff, it’s time I reward myself with a book that is significantly less high brow than the crap load of classics I had to go through this sem....

I have a Lit exam tomorrow
I realized that after 13 years of being a student, I’m still crap at studying for exams. I usually have this plan of studying for the whole day, but really I wake up at 12 noon, do crap all online, and really only start studying at 6 pm. Which, incidentally, is also why I pull all-nighters—it’s really the only way to cram everything in if you start studying at 6 pm.

Oh my god
I always thought cemetery was spelled as cementery until now. As in literally NOW, at 1:45 fucking AM while I’m editing-slash-writing my Histo paper.
CEMETERY
CEMETERY
That doesn’t make any sense!!!!!!!

This is TL;DR. Like, more than usual TL;DR. Forgive.
I’m going to be talking in clauses for this entry. Is that okay? Sorry, grammar Nazi followers.
Ate lunch with Gwen at Rice Box, which is the first time I’ve ingested any kind of fried rice in x years. It was cooked with margarine instead of oil! That sounds gross, but damn it was good. This is why I gained the freshman 15, and why...

Also,
I know “blog neglect” doesn’t even begin to cover it, but lately I’ve been hanging out in the personified mouth of my first semester as a college sophomore, being chewed to bits.
Back in the day, I was always indignant every time my formerly-sophomore-now-junior friends blabbed on about how chillax freshman year is because, I don’t know, my pride gets pricked when...

I’m not inactive because I’m off somewhere studying. In fact, if I were being honest with myself, I’d admit that my QPI is in dire peril. I’ve developed a fear of blank Word Documents and Add a Test Post’s ever since I’ve been psyching myself up to submit something to Heights. I have so many Grand Ideas, but I can’t seem to manage putting them on...
