Re: Re: NOOOOOOOOOOO
wideeyedskies replied: JOHN GALLAGHER JR IS THE ULTIMATE AWKWARD GUY. But I’m sure you were thinking of Eddie, but if you weren’t (since it’s Leo you mentioned), I’m supplying it now. HAHA. I actually was thinking of Eddie (napaka obvious ba sa despcription? LOL) but when I read the book I could have sworn it was set in America. Were my eyes interpreting the text wrong?...

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Is my reaction to finding out that Logan Lerman has been cast in The Perks of Being a Wallflower movie. Along with Emma Watson. But back to Lerman. Charlie is a high school shut out and, well, a wallflower. I don’t really know how to break this to you, but highly swooned-over young men don’t make very convincing wallflowers. And he’s just such a classically attractive pretty...

FML
I was organizing my web bookmarks trying to fit them all into neat categories when I saw I bookmarked http://www.tumblr.com/. The funny thing is I don’t even remember doing it. My subconscious is afraid I’ll forget Tumblr’s URL thus cutting off my means of constantly telling you crap about myself you obviously don’t really care about (even if I’ll always assume you...

This week in my life
I watched my friend’s musical play, which was also her summer class graduation thingy for Trumpets. The play is set in modern times where the significant people in Jesus’ life each give their messages through song in His eulogy. I actually had a good time and I even cried a bit in Mary’s song (I have mommy attachment issues, okay?). They attempted to put some Tagalog parts into...

Remember my old reading list?
I haven’t even gotten through the first chapter of Joseph Heller’s Catch 22. The only literary things I’ve been sinking my teeth into this summer are short stories by Haruki Murakami and Tablo, plus poems by John Keats. I’ve only been able to lock my attention span in 9-page long stories before the Internet snatches my attention away.

Earlier today
A man came to our front door complaining that he couldn’t leave his house even if he was in a hurry because a red Innova was blocking his driveway. He asked if it was ours and if it was, could we please move it so he could get on in his merry way. I said it wasn’t ours, it was our neighbor’s because I know for a fact that they drive a red four-wheeler. My Dad said that none of...

Pseudo-Writer's Block
I can’t form coherent paragraphs anymore without feeling the urge to backspace everything until nothing’s left of that initial everything. So have a bullet post instead covering random topics you probably won’t be interested in anyway. I realized I’m an absolute book snob. Whenever I’m in a bookstore,  I always laugh at the girls my age who beeline for the chic-lit...

3 to 9
My sister and I talked and talked and talked from 3 AM to 9 AM straight, with no breaks. We talked about the elections, John Gallagher Jr, Green Day, relationships, cynicism, and peasant revolutions among other things. There was also some talk about the flight ability of obese baby cherubs. The mood constantly changed from Che Guevara to Billie Joe Armstrong to Brittany from Glee. Insanity. If I...

A compromise
I understand there are times when you fancy the pants off one celebrity so much that you can’t help but photospam up, down and all over my dashboard. I admit I was guilty of this too during the height of my Ben Whishaw addiction. But I’ve found a solution that will reduce the prickling irritation at the back of my mind that makes me want to throw a machete at guy-who-plays-Damon...

I don't do sadness
Or feelings in general. I want to stop writing about my feelings because I never like the way the finished product turns out. There always seems to be something wrong about words haphazardly strung together to form an angsty essay no matter how much humor I try to inject into it. This is probably the same reason I didn’t overly enjoy Catcher in the Rye as much as I expected to years ago. Is...

Feelings #1
Play this and then read this entry for ~ambiance. Please stop asking me why I chose Ateneo over UP. It’s obviously not a decision I took lightly. I didn’t purposely choose the more expensive school to make all our lives miserable. There were plenty of sleepless nights and rolling around in bed. There were lists made, Trigo lessons ignored, pencil erasers bitten raw (Haha, Johnny...

Roger Ebert likes 'Iron Man 2' →
“Iron Man 2” is a polished, high-ozone sequel, not as good as the original but building once again on a quirky performance by Robert Downey Jr. The superhero genre doesn’t necessarily require good acting, but when it’s there (as in “Iron Man” and “The Dark Knight”), that takes it up a level. Downey here gives us a Tony Stark who is cockier and more...

WTF Moment of the Day
I hate sounding like an overenthusiastic frosh dork here, but prompting from my overenthusiastic frosh dork friend (Haha, just kidding Bea) has lead me to find out that the OrSem will run for three days, from 7:30 AM - 8:00 PM on the first two days, and from 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM on the last day. That’s a grand total of 37 hours already spent in Ateneo just on my first three days as an...

Oh, Ateneo
I’m still up at 1:43 AM even if I have to be up and running by 7:00 AM tomorrow because this Student Health History deal is just stressful! I’m lacking vaccinations, guys. What is wrong with my parents? They sent me out to the world without a Hep B shot (well, one, which is still pathetic considering the recommended dosage is 3 shots). And my immunization record is just in shambles...

Whenever I take pictures of food
it always end up looking like the food Lady GaGa serves to Beyonce’s honey-stealing boyfriend in the “Telephone” video. You know, the food that killed a diner full of rednecks. In short, disgusting, something you wouldn’t put in your mouth, etc etc etc. Which wouldn’t be so bad if I can also dance to my poisoning success and escape in the Pussy Wagon with my fierce...
