what I’m marketing as my broody writing blog. The operative word here being “marketing.”

I don’t feel like being on Tumblr anymore. For real this time. I will probably still update this account sometimes, especially when Jon Snow gets naked in Game of Thrones, but all of my 1000-word things will be on the blog from now on. Don’t worry, I’m still sarcastic and I still undermine the seriousness of the topics I choose with humor, like one Jon Stewart, who gets nervous when he doesn’t get a laugh from his audience every 5 minutes. Except my blog will have comparatively awful jokes.

I realized that Tumblr is best for picture-blogging, and Jesus, that only took me three years. I’m not a picture-blogger. Like I said before, the only camera I own is a said circa 2002 thing (I know the year always changes, but early aughts, you get the idea) which produces only sad, grainy pictures. Honestly, my webcam is clearer than that thing. Because this is Tumblr, I feel like I have to clarify that I don’t feel like I’m “better than you” because I’m not a picture-blogger. In fact, I wish I had a good camera so I can take good pictures of my cat, but we can’t always get what we want, etc.

I’m jumping ship because there’s a platform (WordPress) which better suits my needs as a sad Jon Steward ripoff (I’m not, I’m just extending a dead joke). Also, the fullscreen writing feature is great. It helps combat my incessant need to find an excuse not-to-write, which is just what I need.

How’s that for a press release?

What to expect in the new blog: Long pieces, I guess. I like to type a lot. For now (hopefully not forever because damn), there are only two posts up, and one of them isn’t worth much of anything other than having a picture of my cat, but baby steps. I will try to update more. I might even take you up on that promise because things are actually happening in my life right now. It will also serve as a practice ground for my future Vivro pieces, because tis the season once more for Sam to hit me over the head with a mace and make me write. What fun we’re all having.

Literally only six of you probably cared about that, but hey, it’s not like you needed any more proof that people like to talk about themselves.

Last night, I had a dream that Jon Snow, Theon Greyjoy (for the record: eew) and Robb Stark ordered half the J Crew Menswear catalogue—like, by raven, in true Game of Thrones style. After they donned their new purchases, they then proceeded to run around in the Iron Islands beach—because what is more summery than crags of rock and almost-winter wind?—singing “What Makes You Beautiful” by One Direction.

I have nothing else to add to that, to be honest.
